This book presents an overview of the world of openness, from open source software to cloud services, through Creative Commons licenses and open data. Among the first to have made it the main object of his scientific and professional activity, for the first time in the Italian panorama the author offers us a systematic framework of how to realize the opening and sharing of intellectual assets that otherwise would remain reserved. A phenomenon that, from marginal, has become central in various contexts. The work presents itself to the reader in a clear but not trivial way.
